The workshop approach
No service at nagatima is treated as a quick job. Every watch that comes in is inspected, measured, and assessed before a price is agreed and work begins. The technician explains what the service involves and what the aim is. If the watch presents problems beyond the stated scope, that is described clearly before additional work is undertaken.
The workshop does not operate on volume. The intake is managed carefully so that each watch receives adequate time on the bench. This means there is sometimes a short wait for a service appointment, which is described at the time of enquiry.
Service 01
Hairspring & Balance Adjustment
A focused service for watches that are running fast, slow, or with positional irregularity. The technician inspects the hairspring under magnification, checks for coil sticking, magnetism, and centring issues, demagnetises the movement where appropriate, gently re-shapes a deformed coil if needed, and regulates the watch across several positions on the timing machine. The aim is to bring the timekeeping into a stable, comfortable range without unnecessary intervention.
- Coil sticking, magnetism, and centring checks
- Demagnetisation before correction work
- Multi-position regulation on timing machine
- Short written report, measured rates before and after
Duration
5–10 working days
Price
4,800 THB
What happens during the service
Visual and stereo microscope inspection of hairspring geometry and balance wheel condition
Demagnetisation of the movement; timing machine reading in flat and vertical positions
Careful hairspring correction — centring adjustment or coil geometry correction as required
Post-correction timing measurements, written report produced and included with the watch

The service is suited to steel bracelets on daily-wear watches as well as integrated bracelets on sport pieces.

Which service is right for your watch?
Use this as a rough guide. If you are uncertain, an initial enquiry and visual assessment is the most reliable way to find out.

Standards shared across all services
These practices apply regardless of which service you book.
Written estimate before work begins
Every service requires your written agreement to a price before the technician starts. There is no assumption of consent.
Secure intake and storage
Watches are stored in a locked cabinet when not on the bench. An intake form is issued at drop-off and signed at collection.
Original parts wherever possible
No generic trade parts are fitted. If authorised spares are unavailable, this is disclosed and alternatives are discussed.
Service record kept for each watch
A permanent record is maintained. If the same watch returns in future, previous readings and parts are on file.
Communication if anything changes
If new findings arise during service, work stops and you are contacted before any additional steps are taken.
Timing data provided in writing
For any timing-related service, measured rates before and after work are printed and travel with the watch at collection.
